HPD Officers assist with Hurricane Ike Relief

On September 12, 2008 Hurricane Ike slammed into the Texas Coast and brought devastation with it.  Millions were left without power or water in the Houston area.  The Police and Clergy Team partnered with Convoy of Hope to provide needed food, water and ice to thousands of families in Southwest Houston.  Clergy from Braeswood Assembly of God, Westbury Church of Christ, Bethel's Family Church, Westbury Baptist Church, Congregation Beth Rambam, and the Reach Center were among hundreds of volunteers who joined together to meet the needs in our community.
