Saturday, December the 5th was a memorable occasion for southwest Houston as New Braeswood Revitalization Association (NBRA)  donated a 36 foot motor home to PACT,  the Police And Clergy Team,  to be used as a mobile recovery unit.

On Friday,  December 4th,  I got a call from Offficer John Mcphail who had Chaplain Paul Giddens riding with him.  They had just arrived at an accidental death of a 3 month old baby boy.

Tuesday May 26, 2009 there will be a kick off news conference for the "Safe Start" program at Hogg Middle School at 1100 Merrill.  Police and Clergy members are invited to attend this event.  The program will start at 1:00pm.  The Safe Start Initiative is funded by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP), Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice. The goal of the Safe Start Initiative is to broaden the knowledge of and promote community investment in evidence-based strategies for reducing the impact of children's exposure to violence.

Day of Prayer HPD Pastor Ken MurrayNational Police Week will be observed Friday, May 8 - 15.  During this time HPD had "A Day of Prayer" on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 , 10:00 a.m. at HPD Headquarters.
